Asan Medical Center (AMC) has again been recognized as Korea’s Most Admired Hospital, for the 16th consecutive year. It is awarded to hospitals that receive the best evaluation from patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals for their excellent medical performance and social contribution.
The survey analyzed the results of approximately 12,000 people, including industry executives, securities analysts, and general consumers, evaluating the quality of detailed factors such as ▲ innovation ability, ▲ management capability, ▲ employee values, ▲ customer values, ▲ social values, and ▲ image value over the past four months from September 2021.
AMC received 7.43 points in total, including evaluation for the quality of 12 detailed and overall factors, far ahead of other hospitals (average 6.86 points). The scores for the quality of ▲ medical service, ▲ welfare and working environment, ▲ talent development, ▲ preference, ▲ innovation activities, ▲ reliability, etc. were evenly high.
AMC has also been named as Korea’s Top 30 Corporations, which is selected throughout all industries in Korea, for 9 consecutive years, on par with leading companies representing each industry. In particular, among all domestic companies, AMC ranked 16th and 19th in innovation ability and image value, respectively.
An official from the Korea Management Association Consulting (KMAC), the conductor of the survey, said, "Admiration is the best honor that can be enjoyed only when it is steadily trusted and leads the development and innovation of the industry. Global companies use admired companies as a model for desirable management. Leading media in advanced countries, such as 「Fortune」(U.S.) and 「Financial Times」(U.K.), are also conducting related award systems, presenting admiration as an important value for companies to pursue. Asan Medical Center has maintained its lead for 16 years and is widely recognized for its quality of medical services and contribution to society.”
