Mr. Panyaluckthoyar Tongpor from Laos has successfully recovered his health after surgery at Asan Medical Center (AMC). The first encounter with Mr. Tongpor took place last February during AMC Medical Volunteer mission in Laos. During that time, he was suffering from bilateral chronic otitis media. Unfortunately, despite enduring ear infections during his childhood, he did not receive the appropriate medical attention, resulting in the rupture of both his eardrums in 2013, thereby rendering him hearing-impaired.
Mr. Tongpor was admitted to AMC on August 3rd and underwent otitis media surgery, a procedure performed by Professor Woo Seok Kang of the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery on August 7th.
The medical expenses and airfare of Mr. Panyaluckthoyar Tongpor were generously covered by the Asan Foundation and AMC.
