The 12^th AP VALVES & STRUCTURAL HEART 2023 took place from August 10 for two days. Organized by the CardioVascular Research Foundation (CVRF) and sponsored by Asan Medical Center Heart Institute, AP VALVES & STRUCTURAL HEART has been sharing the latest insights and techniques every year, growing into a prestigious international academic conference in the Asia-Pacific region since its inception in 2012.

This conference featured complex heart valve procedure cases, including high-risk TAVI (transcatheter aortic valve implantation), TEER (transcatheter edge-to-edge repair of mitral valve), tricuspid regurgitation, and bicuspid aortic valve procedures. Attendees introduced the latest techniques applicable to real-world medical practice and shared their opinions during the conference. Notably, renowned experts in the global cardiovascular field were invited as speakers, including Professor Eberhard Grube, Professor Kentaro Hayashida, and Professor David Joel Cohen, alongside Professor Seung-Jung Park and Professor Duk-Woo Park from the Division of Cardiology at Asan Medical Center. Live sessions were conducted to demonstrate the entire process of complex valve interventions, such as TAVI and TEER.
