In the recent 'World’s Best Specialized Hospitals 2024' rankings conducted by Newsweek, a U.S. newsweekly magazine, Asan Medical Center of ASAN Foundation (Chairman Chung Mong-Joon) has been once again recognized among the top 10 hospitals in 5 out of 12 clinical specialties.

Asan Medical Center secured top global rankings in various specialties, including No. 3 in endocrinology, No. 4 in urology, No. 5 in gastroenterology, No. 6 in oncology, and No. 8 in neurology. This achievement places Asan Medical Center shoulder-to-shoulder with world-renowned medical institutions such as Mayo Clinic and Cleveland Clinic in the United States.

Asan Medical Center defended its leading position in Korea in a total of 6 specialties, which are endocrinology, urology, gastroenterology, neurology, cardiology, and cardiac surgery.

Newsweek with Statista, the global market and consumer data firm, conducted an online survey of healthcare professionals from over 30 countries worldwide for the 'World’s Best Specialized Hospitals 2024' rankings. This survey took place over two months, starting in June, and the results were recently announced on the official website of Newsweek.

In addition to the world's top 10 in 5 specialties, Asan Medical Center has been ranked world’s No. 11 in orthopedics, No. 32 in pulmonology, No. 33 in cardiology, No. 52 in cardiac surgery, and No. 65 in pediatrics.

This year, there have been improvements in the world’s rankings across numerous specialties of Asan Medical Center. Gastroenterology, oncology, neurology, and orthopedic surgery have moved up a notch from last year, while cardiology and cardiac surgery have ascended by six and two positions, respectively.

Meanwhile, Asan Medical Center has been ranked as World’s No. 29 and Korea’s No. 1 hospital among 250 world-renowned medical institutions in the ‘World’s Best Hospitals’ ranking by Newsweek earlier this year.
