On March 14th, Asan Medical Center signed a Memorandum of Understanding(MOU) with the University of Chicago Medicine (UChicago Medicine). Established in 1927, UChicago Medicine has a total of 811 beds, with an annual record of over 240,000 outpatient visits, over 34,000 inpatient admissions, and over 24,000 surgical procedures.

Attending the signing ceremony were Professor In-Ho Jeon, Director of Asan Medical International at Asan Medical Center, and Dr. Mitchell C. Posner, Physician-in-Chief of the University of Chicago Medicine Comprehensive Cancer Center. Both institutions plan to collaborate in the areas of personnel exchange, joint educational activities and training in mutual areas of interest, and joint patient care and referrals.

Professor In-Ho Jeon, Director of Asan Medical International, stated, "We anticipate that through collaboration with UChicago Medicine, we will be able to enhance our global recognition within the United States."
