A governmental delegation led by H.E. Yousef Al-Benyan, the Minister of Education of Saudi Arabia, visited Asan Medical Center on May 2. This visit was arranged in response to a request from the Korea Health Industry Development Institute, with the aim of observing exemplary medical institutions in the Korea Medical Training Program (KMTP) as part of bilateral cooperation between the Korean and Saudi Arabian governments.

During the visit, the delegation observed highly complex surgeries performed at Asan Medical Center. These included a robot-assisted pelvic organ prolapse surgery, with Fellow Saad Kurdi participating under the guidance of Professor Sa Ra Lee of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and a shoulder arthroscopy surgery, with Fellow Ahmed Hashroof under the guidance of Professor In-Ho Jeon of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery. The delegation confirmed the excellence of Asan Medical Center's advanced surgical techniques. Furthermore, they extended words of encouragement to 22 Saudi Arabian fellows currently undergoing training at Asan Medical Center.
