The 13th AP VALVES & STRUCTURAL HEART 2024 was held from August 8 for two days. Organized by the CardioVascular Research Foundation (CVRF), AP VALVES & STRUCTURAL HEART has established itself as a prestigious international academic conference in the Asia-Pacific region since its inception in 2012. Each year, the conference disseminates the latest insights and techniques through lectures by world-renowned experts in heart valve diseases and structural heart diseases, as well as live case demonstrations.

 

This year’s conference highlighted advanced heart valve procedures, such as bicuspid, tricuspid, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), and Mitral transcatheter edge-to-edge repair (TEER), sharing the various techniques applicable in clinical practice and the latest insights. Notably, renowned experts in the global cardiovascular field were invited as speakers, including Dr. Eberhard Grube, Dr. Alan C. Yeung, Dr. David Joel Cohen, and Dr. Karl Poon, in addition to Endowed-Chair Professor Seung-Jung Park and Professor Duk-Woo Park of the Division of Cardiology at Asan Medical Center. During live case sessions, leading heart hospitals from South Korea, the United States, China, and Japan showcased the entire process of advanced valve interventions in real time, receiving enthusiastic responses from the participants.
