A delegation of infectious disease experts visited Asan Medical Center on October 21 as part of the ‘2024 GHSCO-KOHI Core Personnel Training Program,’ conducted in collaboration between the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA) and the Global Health Security Coordination Office (GHSCO).
This program, aimed at ASEAN member states, seeks to enhance their capacity to respond to infectious diseases. By strengthening regional preparedness, the initiative also aims to prevent the entry of infectious diseases into Korea and foster international cooperation.
The delegation, comprising 17 participants, included public health officials from seven countries, such as Vietnam, Thailand, and the Philippines. During their visit, they toured the facilities of the Center for Infection Control (CIC) and observed its operational systems.
