“The IViS training program at Asan Medical Center serves as an excellent platform for international collaboration and growth. At the Alumni Night event, I had the pleasure of sharing a warm and delightful year-end celebration with my mentors and fellow physicians from various specialties and nationalities,” said Dr. Matias Cancino, a clinical instructor of the Department of Plastic Surgery from Chile.
The 2024 Alumni Night for International Visiting Scholars was held on December 11. Since 2010, Asan Medical Center has organized this annual event to foster networking and solidarity among international scholars participating in its training programs.
In 2024, a total of 525 international physicians from 61 countries trained at Asan Medical Center. This year’s Alumni Night welcomed 52 attendees representing 23 nations, including Saudi Arabia, Thailand, and France.
Professor In-Ho Jeon, Director of Asan Medical International, remarked, “We are committed to ensuring that these international visiting scholars, who will serve as future global ambassadors, receive advanced medical training in the best possible environment and create lasting memories at Asan Medical Center.”
