Aitumar Tilekova, an 11-year-old girl from Kyrgyzstan, has regained her health after undergoing surgery at Asan Medical Center with the support of Asan Foundation.

Aitumar had been suffering from chronic sinusitis and had already undergone three surgeries in her home country, but her condition failed to improve. Due to the repeated procedures, her family faced a significant financial burden, making further treatment unaffordable.

She arrived in Korea on March 14 and was admitted to Asan Medical Center. On March 19, Professor Ji Heui Kim from the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Asan Medical Center performed endoscopic sinus surgery on the right side of Aitumar’s sinus cavity. She was discharged on April 4 in good health.

Her medical expenses were supported by the Asan Foundation and Asan Medical Center.
