The 17th Airway Vista, an international symposium of airway diseases, was held over two days starting on March 29 at Asan Medical Center.
Under the theme ’Recent Update of Guidelines with Phenotypes and Endotypes- COPD and Asthma,’ the symposium brought together 24 speakers from Korea and abroad, including Professor Samy Suissa from McGill University in Canada, along with about 250 medical professionals.
Topics covered in lectures and discussions include the latest clinical practice guidelines for COPD and asthma, the impact of the microbiome revolution on airway diseases, and improved respiratory management through assessment and rehabilitation.
Professor Yeon-Mok Oh of the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Asan Medical Center, who co-chaired the organizing committee, stated, “I hope this symposium serves as an important platform to share the latest treatments for respiratory diseases, including COPD and asthma, and to advance clinical and research knowledge.”
