The 12th Liver Center Symposium was held on April 12 at Asan Medical Center. Around 170 medical professionals specializing in liver diseases attended the event, which featured lectures and discussions on topics such as the latest research trends in liver disease at Asan Medical Center, chemoprevention and early detection of hepatocellular carcinoma, and innovative multidisciplinary treatment strategies for liver cancer. In addition, Professor Timothy Pruett of the Division of Transplantation at the University of Minnesota Medical School gave a special lecture on ‘Cellular Senescence, Liver Transplantation and Cancer: An Unfolding Relationship,’ which was well received by the participants.
