Asan Medical Center has been ranked No. 1 in the fields of cardiology, endocrinology, and orthopedics in the ‘Best Specialized Hospitals Asia Pacific 2025‘ by clinical specialty rankings conducted by Newsweek, a leading U.S. weekly news magazine.
By securing the top spots in three specialties, Asan Medical Center outperformed the leading hospitals in countries such as Japan, Singapore, and Taiwan, earning recognition as a provider of the highest level of medical care in the Asia-Pacific region. Asan Medical Center was the only hospital in Korea to secure the top spot in three specialties. In total, Asan Medical Center achieved the highest number of No.1 rankings in South Korea, leading in five specialties including cardiology, endocrinology, orthopedics, cardiac surgery, and neurology.
From February, Newsweek conducted a month-long survey in collaboration with global research firm Statista, gathering responses from 8,000 medical professionals to identify the top hospitals in the Asia-Pacific region across nine clinical specialties. The survey covered ten countries, including Korea, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, Australia, Thailand, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines. The final results were reviewed by a panel of reputable medical experts and were recently published on official website of Newsweek.
