On July 2, a delegation from King Saud University (KSU) in Saudi Arabia, led by President Abdullah Salman Alsalman, visited Asan Medical Center (AMC).

Founded in 1957, KSU is widely recognized as the leading university in the Middle East. Its College of Medicine, established in 1967 as the first medical school in Saudi Arabia, signed a medical training agreement with AMC in 2014. Under this partnership, more than 150 medical students visited AMC through 2019 to observe clinical care and surgical procedures.

The visit was arranged to discuss ways to resume the training program, which had been suspended since 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and to explore future collaboration between the two institutions. The KSU delegation held in-depth discussions with AMC leadership, including President Seung-Il Park, the Vice President & Chief Education Officer (CEdO) In-Cheol Choi, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) & Director for Planning and Coordination Soo-Sung Park, and Professor In-Ho Jeon, Director of Asan Medical International at Asan Medical Center. Topics included joint research, academic exchange, and digital healthcare collaboration.
