On July 3, a delegation from the editorial board of ‘JAMA’ (Journal of the American Medical Association), including Kirsten Bibbins-Domingo and Mary L. (Nora) Disis of the Editors in Chief of JAMA and the JAMA Network, visited our hospital.

During a meeting, the delegation met with Chairman Tae Won Kim of Asan Institute for Life Sciences & Chief Research Officer, along with Professors Young-Suk Lim of the Division of Gastroenterology, Duk-Woo Park of the Division of Cardiology, Kyu-Pyo Kim of the Division of Oncology, and Dong Hyun Yang of the Department of Radiology from Asan Medical Center. The discussion focused on the Asan Medical Center’s clinical achievements and cutting-edge research advancements.

Following the meeting, the delegation participated as speakers in the ‘SPARK Seminar on Scientific Writing,’ held at the Auditorium of the East Building. The event drew over 150 medical and research professionals from Asan Medical Center. The JAMA editorial board delivered insightful presentations covering current trends and effective strategies for publishing in medical journals, along with an overview of the manuscript review workflows at ‘JAMA’ and its sister journal, ‘JAMA Network Open.’
