Medical staff from the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism at Asan Medical Center were recently recognized at academic meetings. Professor Bum Joon Kim from the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism at Asan Medical Center received the Asia-Pacific Award at the annual meeting of the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research (ASBMR 2024), held over four days starting September 5, for his study on ‘ALDH1A1 as a Therapeutic Target for Estrogen Deficiency–Induced Sarcopenia’. Meanwhile, Professors Won Gu Kim and Min Ji Jeon from the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism at Asan Medical Center won the Best Paper Award at the Fall Meeting of the Korean Thyroid Association, held August 29–30, for their research on ‘MCT4 Expression in Thyroid Cancer’.
