Asan Medical Center's Theranostics Center has become the first in Korea to earn Level 2, the highest accreditation, under the international standard accreditation program operated by EANM Research Ltd. (EARL), the research arm of the European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM).

EARL accreditation comprehensively evaluates the quantitative accuracy and reproducibility of PET/CT imaging, treatment center operations, patient safety management, and clinical capabilities. The Theranostics Center was recognized for its comprehensive radiopharmaceutical therapy program, including radioactive iodine therapy, Lutathera therapy, and Pluvicto therapy, as well as its expertise in high precision PET/CT molecular imaging integrated with these treatments. The center also earned EARL accreditation for its PET/CT scanners, demonstrating the accuracy of its nuclear medicine imaging and its ability to standardize treatment evaluation.

Director Jin-Sook Ryu of the Theranostics Center at Asan Medical Center said “The accreditation reflects international recognition of our clinical experience, precision imaging based therapeutic system, and research capabilities. We will continue to advance nuclear medicine care and strengthen our position as Asia’s leading center for precision nuclear medicine and theranostics.”
